In the far future man has lost the ability to reproduce, and the human population is slowly decreasing. This has brought about the existence of 'replicants,' bio androids created for the purpose of fighting in wars that the decreasing human race could not even bother trying to fight in. Soon after the Asian wars were over the 'halfs' were created due to the fact that replicants could not reproduce despite being so very close to human. Halfs are people born with the genetics of both humans and animals This isn't all it's made to be. Gangs of humans, halfs and replicants, roam the streets, the world has been plunged into complete chaos. People can't go anywhere without seeing someone selling drugs, or prostitutes looking for easy money. Along with all of this 'dirty business' there is controversy over the idea of halfs and replicants being humans. Most purebred humans don't think they should have the same rights as actual humans. Halfs are often being called 'filthy' or 'beasts.' They are looked down upon by most of the humans. Replicants are feared for their great power and the fact that you can't tell them apart from real humans. They are 'monsters' to most humans. This bands each race together to look after each other. To most halfs and replicants there is comfort in numbers; there won't be one of them that isn't in a gang. This way, hopefully, they can survive this bleak and dying world.
