Caitlyn woke up to a urge for Starbucks coffee. Since her mother wasn't up yet, Caitlyn scribbled her a note, left it on the counter, grabbed her purse, and off she went. Sticking the ear-buds in her ears, and switching it to "Love Story" by Taylor Swift, she continued her journey to the famous coffee shop. Humming quietly to herself, she thought about her father. How was he holding up? Did he have a new family? That thought made Caitlyn frown. Did he have a new family that didn't include her or her mother? That made Caitlyn mad. She knew she shouldn't be mad at her own father, but she was. He was the man made her mother cry every single day, even though they were in a new state away from Montana, where everything reminded them of Mr. Zimmerman.
Opening the door to Starbucks, the smell of coffee hit her nose, and she smiled. She took the ear-buds out, and stuffed the i-pod in her pocket, while getting in line. When it was her turn, the person behind the counter gave her a smile. "What would you like, miss?
She took a sip of her smoothie, and looked out the window. She knew was rude, but she used to people-watch with her father when she was little before the big divorce. He would tell her to make up stories about the people walking by. How many children did they have, what was their career, why were they carrying so many bags...it went on and on. Caitlyn shook herself out of her trance, and bit her lower lip. That was in the past. This was the present, and she was going to forget about her father.
