OCCUPATION , History teacher.
HOMETOWN , New York City

boring, we all know conspiracies are dumb !
PERSONALITY ,very serious, clever, a perfectionist, an obnoxious clean freak, blunt, thoughtful, compassionate, helpful, creative, calm (usually, until her class or someone else pisses her off) and tough.
DISTINGUISHING MARKS ,Iravati has a birthmark that covers the back of her left shoulder. She's a little self conscious over it. Other than that she has piercings in her ears, and that's about it.
FLAWS , lacks humor and isn't very social, and rather spend time reading a book or watching a docuementary. When she does speak though, she's rather blunt about it. To some, she may come across as a huge bitch.
BEST MEMORY , Leaving her controlling mother and father and coming to Hawaii to teach History...also graduating from college.
WORST MEMORY , When she ran away from her wedding. She didn't like the guy at all. Her parents had picked him out for her, thinking he was the best for their daughter...and because of the fact that he was Indian as well. Long story short, she ran away at the altar in her sari, jumped on a taxi and boarded a plane to Hawaii. So she doesn't talk to her parents because of it.
HISTORY , Iravati Aiesha Patel was the youngest and only daughter out of the three children in the Patel family. Her father was a highly important man that played apart in some business affairs, while their mother owned a laundry mat. Born on a hot day in Mumbai, India, but moved to New York when the little girl was three. Growing up, Iravati and her older brothers were instilled of the belief that going to school and a achieving perfect grades would be the only thing that could please their father's heart. They weren't allowed to anything else other than study. Which wasn't hard at all. Unlike her brothers, Iravati was eager to learn everything, making excellent marks, and was upset when she received anything lower than a 93. She especially grew to love History, and snuck into her father's study to indulge into the ancient civilizations, societies and wars that plagued time.
Despite all that, she wasn't expected to go to college, and even had a place that the laundry mat to work along side her mother. At eightteen, her family had already arranged for her to marry some boy from another family that lived across the street from them. Iravati's parents felt like he had a good head on his shoulders and also like him due to the fact that he was Indian. Ira didn't like him, and cried to her eldest brother, who loved his sister and didn't want her to be uspet. He convinced an uncle to pay for his sister's college fees. She went to the university without ever having her parents find out. Well...they did after the wedding day.
Taking the money she scourged from working at the laudry mat (and the money from what was left from her uncle), she ran away from the altar in her sari and rode a taxi and boarded a ticket to Hawaii. That was a year ago, and Ira is doing somewhat perfectly. She still has a shitty apartment (because she's borderline OCD, it's hospital clean), but she's doing what she does best, teaching World History and AP US History.

[ooc: From AU Sailor Moon Silver Millenium rpg][DOHTML]

Princess Maiha walked along the stone pathway in the Moon Kingdom's garden. Silence hung in the cool night air, adding an eerie beauty to the cornucopia of flowers that seated in the soil. Mai's slim fingers gently slid on the petals of flowers including those that were her personal favorite. She stooped low to one particular plant and without thinking, plucked it half way from its stem and held it in the light of what the garden could shed. It was a unique flower, with five large petals that was a teal color, with navy blue around its edges. Golden sparkles made the flower shine in the light. Before long realized that this plant was only located on the planet Uranus, where her best friend Celia, the crown princess, lived.

Cradling the delicate flower in the palm of her hands, Mai's body trudged forward. Her flowing sea-green night dress swayed with her graceful movements as the gray stone path disappeared with each step. Staring at the flower again, she sighed. The Uranian princess, her best friend, would not be visiting her tonight. From what she was told, Celia was forced to go to a meeting because of the absence of her ambassador. It made her upset, even though she wouldn’t show it, and her training seemed to take longer than necessary. A very familiar feeling rushed through her body, and ran through her like electricity. She raised her hand to her chest, which had begun pounding. Like what the Uranian princess was feeling right now, the thought of Celia made her emotions go haywire. She had never felt like this before, but she had enough experience from observing the other girls to know what this odd sensation was. But did the young woman share the same feeling back? Did the fellow princess love her as well?

A rather soft noise broke her away from her thoughts. Was it a sigh? She quickly peered into the dimming light. A shadow unfolded in front of her on the stone bench, and from what she could see, the figure had moved its head to look at her. Dark almond eyes widened as her cheeks and ears seared in embarrassment. “Who’s there?”she asked, her usual calm voice now sharpening. “And what are you doing here?”Maiha hoped that the person wouldn’t notice that her light skin had darkened to a rosy color on her high cheekbones.

[/DOHTML]
